Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!) have signed on to star in Chloe, the new film from acclaimed filmmaker Atom Egoyan (Where the Truth Lies, The Sweet Hereafter).

Moore will play a successful doctor who suspects her husband (Neeson) of cheating. She tests his fidelity by hiring an escort (Seyfried) to seduce him. The move creates complications that put her family in danger.

The film was written by Erin Cressida Wilson, whose previously credits include Secretary and Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus.

Egoyan’s latest film is Adoration, which premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been making its way through the festival circuit. It stars Scott Speedman, Kenneth Welsh, Devon Bostick and Rachel Blanchard and will receive a limited release in May.

Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock will produce Chloe through their Montecito Picture Co. banner with production scheduled to begin in early February in Toronto.
